From NetSuite to Business Central

This table outlines some of the specific comparisons between NetSuite and Business Central for functions that were important to us.

Sales taxesNetSuite can handle GST/HST, but throw in QST or PST, and you have to deal with it manually.Business Central handles all the sales taxes correctly with no problems. If you have to expense the tax in some provinces or state, it can do that. If you get input tax credits, it can handle that too.
Profitability by customerYes, NetSuite has the ability to do it, but it’s not pretty, We run reports that look like an income statement but we run it by dimensions and by GL at the same time. In order for me to do this, I have to dump data out from NS to Excel and then run some custom fields to make it look like an income statement in a Pivot Table with accounting periods across the top.We can do this multiple ways. We can do this with Jet Reports into Excel or we have re-created the data into PowerBI directly. This saves us a ton of time as we don’t have to run manual reports like we do in NetSuite.
